HOLLAND, FRANCIS (FRANK) JOSEPH It is with great sadness we announce the death of Frank Holland of Harvey Station, who passed away September 17, 2007 at the Harvey Community Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family after a very courageous fight with cancer. Frank was born in Harvey on January 14, 1936, a son of the late Gerald and Annie (Burgoyne) Holland. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Elinor (Christie) Holland; his two daughters, Barbara Jones (Paul) and Becky Holland (Lance Hare); his two sons, Shawn Holland (Deanne) and Peter Holland; his special grandchildren, Sarah, Jacklyn and Samantha Jones, Danielle and Devin Hare and Morgan and Marcus Holland; his sisters, Ann Brown, Winnie McCaig (Peter), Gertrude Doucet and Theresa Chessie (Lynn); his sisters-in-law, Myrna Holland and Muriel Swan (Ernest) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by two brothers, Wilfred and Donnie Holland, a sister, Mary Golding, his granddaughter, Brittany Hare; sisters-in-law, Pat Holland and Lorraine Tracy and brothers-in-law, Bill Golding, Claude Brown and Omer Doucet. Visitation will take place at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2448 Route 645 in Cork on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. by Father Mark Trzop. Interment will follow in Cork Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be George McDonald, Walter Jewett, Ernest Swan, Bernie McCann, Donnie Pollock and Lynn Chessie. Active pallbearers will be Charles Golding, Jerry Holland, Joey Jones, John O'Keefe, Matthew Murch and Laurie Messer.
