KITCHEN, EILEEN FLORENCE The passing of Eileen Florence Kitchen, of Fredericton, NB wife of Stewart Kitchen, occurred on Monday, September 24, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 6, 1923 in North Hampton, England, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Daisy (Vernon) Oxley. Eileen enjoyed carpet bowling, she was a member of the War Brides Association and enjoyed oil painting. In addition to her husband Stewart, Eileen is survived by her daughters, June Perks of Nanton, AB and Barb Kitchen Palmer (Brian) of Fredericton, NB; sons, Jim Kitchen (Nora) of Red Deer, AB and Mike Kitchen (Joan) of Whitehorse, Yukon; sister, Joyce Copp of Fredericton, NB; brother, Don Oxley of England; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her infant son, Robert. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Bill MacLeod officiating. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension.
