Marian Brown of Moose Jaw, passed away Friday November 7, 2008 at the age of 75 years. Marian was born at Pense, SK. Marian married Donald Brown in 1953 and together they managed several businesses. She also worked at the National Bakery for a time and her kids have fond memories of going there for cookies. Marian, Don and a partner opened Marwin Tire in 1960 and operated various businesses: Brown Self-Serve and D&M Vacuum Store. They also farmed southwest of Moose Jaw. She is predeceased by her parents, Phineas and Louisa Lowe, four brothers Robert, Phineas, Frank and Ken Lowe, two sisters Lucy Farnel and Madge Dawson; and great-grandson Augustus Bearden. Marian is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don; children: Marlene (Barry) Barnett; Phineas (Alana) and Ron (Paulette); grandchildren: Russell, Bobbi-Jo (James) Bearden and Kelly-Rae (Tylor) Krauss; Kerri (Kevin) Kosh, Terri (Matt) Brown and Johnathan Brown; Marsha, Tyler and Ryan Welscher; Matthew and Joshua Brown; great-grandchildren: Justyn and Logan; Austin and Bailie; Jordan and Jamie; Cole, Liam and Abigail; sister Lillian Dagel; brothers Ed Lowe and Dave Lowe; and numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with Marian's wishes, there will be a private family service. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Tea at the Jones Family Centre on Wednesday November 12, 2008, starting at 3:00 pm.
