HAWKES, TONY With deep sadness we announce the passing on October 3, 2007 of Tony Hawkes, age 50, after a brief illness. Tony is survived and will be dearly missed by wife, Wendy; daughters, Jamie Rice (Kris), Richelle Anderson (Chris); his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Colin, Jordie and Marlee Rice, Davin Anderson; special sister and brother, Lorraine McManus and Gary Hawkes (Odette); In-laws, Shirley and Allen Pickard, Jim Stickles; brothers-in-law, Ross Stickles (Gail) and Kevin Stickles (Vicki); special nieces, Diane, Allyson and Dakota; several nieces and nephews; special buddies, Jeff Thibault and Dale Hutley; and his Cat "Bob"; siblings, Ruth Delucry, Annette Sherwood and Brent Hawkes. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Theresa Hawkes. Tony enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan. Special thanks to nurses, Kristin Gilmore, Andrea Jones and Shari Watson for your special compassion shown to Tony and his family during this difficult time. Thanks to all the staff of 4NW for your care of Tony during his illness. There will be no visitation at Tony's request. Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 2 pm with Pastor Dwight Munn officiating. Pallbearers for the service are Kevin Stickles, Gary Hawkes, Chris Anderson, Kris Rice, Jeff Thibault and Bud Anderson; Honorary Pallbearers are Greg Sherwood and Dale Hudley. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
