HAGGERTY, BETH Her death occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on October 4, 2007. Beth died from several sudden fast moving cancers discovered on September 4, 2007 following severe shortness of breath for a few days. During the short period of hospitalization all her family were able to be with her from these early better days until the end. In the beginning she could talk and enjoy time with them. The company of friends, and calls from many others brought Beth much comfort at a time when she knew what was happening to her. Father Jack Dolan and Sister Dora Bougois frequent visits with their pleasant conversations were thoroughly enjoyed by Beth and Her Family. Beth was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, and worked her early years as a nurse in Montreal. She spent many years at home raising the family before returning to nursing at the Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Beth was predeceased by her mother, Beatrice (McGuiggan) Cronin and her father, Raymund Joseph Cronin. She is survived by her husband, Ed Haggerty; daughter, Kathleen Haggerty; sons, Kevin (Amy Hunter) Haggerty and their son, Liam, Michael (Lori Woodside) Haggerty and their children, Emily, Megan and Matthew, Sean (Jennifer Penney) Haggerty and their children, Cicely and Aidan; and a chosen son, David Knott (Lee) of Calgary; two brothers, Bapst (Jeannie) Cronin and Frank (Janet) Cronin; many nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral. Following cremation a Special Family Mass will be held at Holy Family Church on Hanwell Road, Monday, October 8, 2007 at 12 noon. Friends are welcome to come to this Mass.
