WILSON, RUSSELL (RUSS) GEORGE Surrounded by his loving family, Russell Wilson of Nackawic, NB passed away on Saturday evening, October 6, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on November 5, 1927, he was the son of the late George and Gertrude Wilson. Russell was a loving husband, father and grandfather. There was nothing that he would not do for his family. Russell is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Manning) Wilson; his five children, Michael Wilson of Nackawic, Pat (Gary) Thorne of Southampton, Randy (Anne) Wilson of Nackawic, Darrell Wilson of Hainesville and Loreene Wilson of Nackawic. Russell especially loved spending time with, and worshiped, his eight grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas, Joshua, Amanda, Sarah, Ashley, Ryan and Ben, all of Nackawic, NB. Russell will also be fondly remembered by both his niece, Jeannette (Doug) Jonah of Norton, NB; and nephew, Kenny (Judy) Cogswell of Newmarket, NB, and their families. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two infant daughters, Noreen Anne and Elaine Karen; brothers and sisters, Mildred Cogswell, Gordon Wilson, Randall Wilson, Jeannette Goguen, Lawrence Mason and James Mason. Russell loved nature and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. In his later years he loved getting in his truck and traveling the back roads of New Brunswick. A special place Russ loved to visit with friends was at the "camp" in Magundy. In his younger days, Russell was an avid golfer, softball and hockey player. The family would like to extend a hugh debt of gratitude to the nursing staff and doctors in the Emergency Room and 4 North East of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. The nursing staff were compassionate, caring and understanding and all are a credit to the nursing profession. We thank you. The family would like to invite you to celebrate the life of Russell by visiting with them at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. By request of the family, there will be no funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Russell, the family has suggested the Louise Breau Memorial Medical Trust Fund, the Children's Wish Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice. www.flewellingswan.com
