"JIM" LEVI JAMES READER

READER, "JIM" LEVI JAMES Jim Reader of Burton, NB passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on September 26th, 2007. Born on January 27th, 1942 in Bloomfield, NL he was the son of the late Wallace and Mae (Quinton) Reader and husband of Pauline (Clark) Reader. Jim joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1959 at the age of 17 and didn't retire until 1991. He had saw service in several branches and in many areas including a tour in Cyprus in 1964 and a tour in Germany in 1968. Most of his career was spent at CFB Gagetown and he was a member of the Armour Corps his whole career. Jim was a much-loved family man who never complained or said a bad word about anybody. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many fishing trips with his sons and friends at various camps. However, Jim's favorite pastime was feeding the birds and squirrels. He took great pleasure in watching them and often poured over books about the little creatures. When Jim was healthy he enjoyed his short walks and loved to go to Tim's for a coffee and a chat with friends. He also had great passions for playing his keyboard, watching the hockey games and CJRI. Jim will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Pauline (Clark) Reader. He also leaves to grieve his two sons, Jimmy (Kim) of Upper Gagetown, NB and Ted (Kelly) of Lincoln, NB. He will be sadly missed by his grandson, Jackson and granddaughter, Gracie Mae both of Lincoln, NB; three brothers, Auburn (Joan) of Corner Brook, NL, Bill (Rowena) of Aspen Cove, NL and Byron (Pauline) of Newcastle, ON; uncle, Rev. Maxwell Reader of Vermont, USA; aunt, Blanche Belefountaine of Lincoln, NB as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; infant son, Terrence James and his brother, Gordie. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, October 14th, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Robert Foster officiating.
