GERTRUDE MARY (BARRIEAU) GALLANT
GALLANT, GERTRUDE MARY (BARRIEAU) Gertrude M. Gallant of Harvey Station passed away October 14, 2007 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam. Gertrude was born at Rogersville, NB in 1919, a daughter of the late Melas and Jenivive (Young) Boucher. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Catholic Womens League. Gertrude is survived by a daughter, Eileen Phillips (Richard), Harvey Station; a son, Edgar Barrieau, Hanwell Road; a sister, Beatrice Anderson (Simon), Miramichi; grandchildren, Helen Abbey (Simon), Tammy Coburn (Ross), Robert Barrieau (Krista), Michael Barrieau (Gale), Linda Groom (Michael), Timmy Barrieau (Peggy) and Terry Barrieau (Brenda); great grandchildren, Julian, Bronwyn, Elijah, Bradley, Alex, Scott, Adam, Robert, Jeffrey, Jason, Erica, Stephen, Ryan, Jamie and Mandy; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Barrieau, Harvey Station; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Barrieau; her second husband, Arthur Gallant; a son, Edmund Barrieau; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Barrieau; sisters, Clara LeBlanc and Josephine Gallant; brothers, Albert, David, Peter, Melas, Aurel and Theodore Boucher; and a great grandson, Dylan Abbey. Visitation will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2448 Route 645, Cork on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. by Rev. David Martin. Interment will be in Cork Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Harvey Lions Club.
