JOSEPH E. GUERRETTE
GUERRETTE, JOSEPH E. Joseph Eudore Guerrette of Fredericton passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 13, 2007. He was 88. Born August 10, 1919 in Edmundston, NB, the son of the late Wilfred and Edmee (Pickard) Guerrette and husband of the late Kathleen (Tremblay) Guerrette. He was a veteran of WWII with the RCAF, serving in England attached to the RAF as a Radar Technician. After the war he enrolled at the University of New Brunswick, where he obtained a degree of BSC in Electrical Engineering in 1950. He was employed as an electrical engineer by NB Power for 15 years and by the Provincal Government for 20 years where he retired in 1983. He leaves behind his daughter Paryse at home; son Daniel (Susan) of Nepean, ON; grandson Nicholas; granddaughter Nadine both of Nepean, ON; two sisters Alice Voisine of Fredericton and Jeannine Guerrette of Hartford, CT. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers Raymond and Harris; a sister Teresa Todzia; daughter-in-law Ellen (McKinley) Guerrette. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19th , 2007 at 4:00 PM at Ste-Anne-des-Pays Bas Church, 715 Priestman St., Fredericton, with Father S. Paulin officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Edmundston, NB. Rememberances may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
