MARGARET AUGUSTA (MUNN) LETOURNEAU

LETOURNEAU, MARGARET AUGUSTA (MUNN) Margaret (Munn) Letourneau wife of the late Vincent (Benty) Letourneau of Dalhousie, NB passed away peacefully at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on September 15, 2007 at the age of 101 years. Born in Holtville, NB on August 18, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Abraham Munn and Grace Brown. Survived by niece Grace Hynes and grand-niece Joan Walker and their extended families of Coquitlam, BC Ruth Munn, nieces and nephews of Boiestown, NB. Viewing was held at Maher's Funeral Home Dalhousie, NB on Monday September 17, 2007 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral mass was celebrated at St. John Bosco Church by Rev. Bill Arsenault. Saint Cecilia's choir was in attendance with soloist Lise Corbin rendering the "Ave Maria". Margaret was a long term member of the Catholic Women's League of St. John Bosco having served as President and a Charter member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary for nearly 25 years. The hospital was a cause she dearly loved and served. Marguerite Normandeau, CWL member, Past President of this Parish and also Diocesan did the reading and Sharon Irvine, close friend and Past President of the Hospital Auxiliary did the prayers of general intercessions. Mae Lawlor, a long time close neighbour and friend paid a tribute to Margaret and her long life. Pallbearers were Reggie MacLean, Gerald Lawlor, Bobby Harquail, Barry Irvine, Leonard Parent and Cletus Henry. Interment was in St. John Baptist Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
