RAPLH L FOSTER
FOSTER, RAPLH L Ralph Foster passed away at the DECRH on October 28, 2007. He was eighty-one years old and the last surviving member of his family. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-seven years, Myrna (Brewer); three children, Edward (Peggy) Foster of Kemptville, ON, Sharon (Conrad) Billings of Burtt's Corner and Dale Foster of Fredericton; two granddaughters, Carrie (Frank) Young of Ottawa, ON and Tasha Billings (fiancé Jason) of Burtt's Corner, as well as three great-grandchildren, Reed, Emma and Curtis of Ottawa, ON. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, William (Billy) Foster and Violet (McLean); and his three siblings, Eugene (Jean) Foster, Phyllis (Leonard) Rodgers, and Christina Foster. Ralph enjoyed watching baseball and hockey, especially his Blue Jays, Maple Leafs and Habs, long walks with his granddaughter's dog, Darcy, word searches, watching The Hour and Jeopardy! and many long-lasting friendships. Once you made friends with Ralph, you were friends forever. He had many passions; his relationship with God, anything to do with the outdoors, all animals - he loved to watch the deer and birds that were a constant presence in his yard, the cows and horses he used to have on his farm. Besides running a successful farm for many years, Ralph also worked as a deliveryman for Sears and Gibsons. He also spent time working in the woods. Ralph looked much younger than his eighty-one years and had the brain of a much younger person. He was very hardworking, loving, and generous, always making time to help those who needed it, even during times when he wasn't in the best of health. He had a great sense of humor and laughed easily. Ralph was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed. Visitation will take place at Church of Christ, Burtt's Corner, NB on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the church on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 2 pm with Pastor Graham Crandall officiating. Pallbearers for the service are Lyle Burtt, Harry Gilbey, Keith Rodgers, Bobby Jones, John Coburn and Darron Chapman. Interment will take place in Burtt's Corner Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
