VERNA H. (LONG) MACDONALD

MACDONALD, VERNA H. (LONG) The passing of Verna H. (Long) MacDonald, wife of the late Murray H. MacDonald, of Bloomfield Ridge, occurred on November 1, 2007 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home, Boiestown. Born on August 22, 1924, in Ludlow, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Carrie (Clark) Long. Verna cooked for fishing camps and worked at camps with her husband for many years. She was a member of the Bloomfield Ridge United Church, a past member of the UCW and an avid quilter. Verna is survived by three daughters, Donna (John) Johnston of Sunny Corner, Anne (Jerry) Munn of Doaktown, Marie (Paul) Norrad of Bloomfield Ridge; two sons, Bryan (Estella) and Roy (Suzanne) all of Marysville; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Baden (Mavis) Long of Ludlow and Reginald Long of Boiestown; sisters-in-law, Alice and Mona Long both of Ludlow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Maurice, Ora and Aubrey. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Boiestown United Church on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating. Pallbearers are Verna's grandsons (Vance, Derrick, Jeff, Josh, Daryl and Jarrett). Honorary Pallbearers are the past members of the UCW of Bloomfield Ridge United Church. Interment will take place at the Bloomfield Ridge United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to Child Find would be appreciated by the family.
