RUSSELL ALLEN DROST
DROST, RUSSELL ALLEN Russell Drost ("Honky"), of Midland, Queens County, Husband of Dianne (McAllister) Drost, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton on Sunday, November 4, 2007. He was born in Rothwell, Queens County, on August 20, 1940, the son of the late Calvin and Elizabeth (Kincade) Drost. Russell was a driver for Sunbury Transport for many years, and for the last several years, worked with Vernon Bishop Towing in Chipman. As well as his wife, Russell is survived by his sons, Derrick (Nancy) and their daughters, Rhonda, Katie-Jo and Shelby, Chipman and Clifton (Kim) and sons, Aaron and Sheldon, Minto; also surviving are two brothers, Sterling (Lydia) of Burtts Corner and Calvin Jr. (Janet) of Minto; and sister, Linda (Beverly) Smith of Minto; one aunt, Mrs. Ruth Drost, Fredericton; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Annie McAllister, Minto; sister-in-law, Marianne Lewis, Toronto; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins; and a wide circle of friends. He was predeceased by his parents; an infant daughter, Rhonda; and an infant son, Russell Jr.; his sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Blakeney; father-in-law, Harry McAllister. The family will receive visitors at the Minto Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Services will be held 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Christian Community Church, Newcastle Bridge with the Rev. Kris Austin and the Rev. Verner Drost officiating.
