SHEILA ANNETTE FENERTY

FENERTY, SHEILA ANNETTE Sheila A. Fenerty of Douglas, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born in Woodstock, NB, on August 12, 1961, she was the daughter of Faye (McHatten) Bell and the late Arthur Leo Bell. Sheila is survived by her husband, L. Shawn Fenerty; and her children, Brendan (McGill University), daughter, Lindsay-Bell, and son, Keeghan at home; her mother, Faye Bell, Woodstock; two brothers, Brad (Angelica) Bell, Woodstock and Justice Richard (Maureen) Bell, Fredericton; one sister, Elaine (Ed) Durling, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews; an aunt, Marjorie (Alton) Morrison, Deerville, NB; an uncle, Lloyd (Lana) McHatten, Hampton, Virginia. Besides her father, Sheila was predeceased by an uncle, Ronald McHatten. Sheila lived her early years in Lindsay, NB. She is a graduate of Woodstock High School, Word of Life Bible Institute, New York and Mount St. Vincent University, Halifax. She was a teacher by profession, having taught at Douglas Elementary School immediately prior to her illness. Sheila was a devoted spouse, mother and friend. She professed Christ as her Saviour and is now with God. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Douglas Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Moore officiating and Rabbi Avner Solomon assisting. Interment will take place in Marysville Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Douglas Baptist Church "Building Fund" or Congregation Ner Tamid (Halifax) would be appreciated by the family.
