BOWES, MONICA "MONA" THERESA (DOOLEY) At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB on December 8, 2007, Monica "Mona" Theresa (Dooley) Bowes passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bath, NB and Roman Catholic by faith, Mona will be remembered for her beautiful smile, commitment to family, deep spirituality, positive attitude and penchant for decorating her homes and many others. She also had a great passion for golf. Her professional life included working with many departments within the NB Provincial Government. She was the founder and principle of Anmar Holdings Limited. Mona then moved to Florida in 1981 and started a family business, Bradenton House of Golf. Mona returned home to New Brunswick this past summer to make her permanent home in Fredericton. She is survived by her children, Andrew (Amber) Bowes of Greenville, South Carolina, Marti (Steve) Wymer of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, Sydney, Brigid, Mason and Michael. She also leaves behind her remaining eleven brothers and sisters, Richie (Susan) Dooley of Calais, ME, Gaynell (Charlie) Bowlen of Fredericton, Elaine (Roy) Jones of Middleton, NS, Madonna Morrell of Fredericton and Oak Bay, Lillian Canning of Fredericton, Marion (Joe) Jodoin, Louise (Earle) Bolster of Victoria, BC, Clare (John) Robinson of Fredericton, Beverley (Rusty) MacArthur of Fredericton, Bobby (Cheryl) Dooley of Fredericton, Betty (Bill) Hall of Quispamsis, NB; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; many friends throughout Canada and the U.S. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Bowsie" Bowes; her parents, John and Florence (Kerr) Dooley. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road with visitation on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Lincoln, NB on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 12:00 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment in the church cemetery will take place in the spring. For those who wish, contributions to Stem Cell Research would be appreciated by the family.
