LEGASSIE, R. MARIE The death of R. Marie LeGassie (nee Stennick) of Saint John occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday December 8, 2007. Born July 1940 in Fredericton, NB she was the daughter of the late Odbur and Bessie (Boone) Stennick. Marie is survived by sons, Joey, Andy (Claudia) and Jerry (Teresa) all of Saint John; grandchildren, Tommy, Ashley, April LeGassie, Jessie and Gordon LeGassie; great granddaughter, Bailey; three sisters, Myrtle (Lester) Brown of Geary, Jean (Armand) Gaudet of Oromocto and Mabel Oram of Clarendon; and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her daughter, Sherry; her son, Tommy; and granddaughter, Sherry; special companion and friend, Alvin Richard; and her children's father, Gerald LeGassie. She was also predeceased by her brothers, George, Frank, Arthur, Bruce, Albert, Allen, Buddy and Carl; sisters, Florence, Mildred and Dorothy. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Monday and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann's Catholic Church on Wednesday December 12, 2007 10am.
