Mr. Gilbert Hay passed away at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on Monday November 24, 2008. Gil was born at Rowletta in 1916. He married Grace in 1949 and they farmed until retiring to Moose Jaw. During his retirement, Gil was an avid golfer and spent many winters in Texas. He was known for his kindness and wonderful sense of humour. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Robert Hay, brother Stanley and sister Edna, Gil leaves to mourn his wife of 59 years, Grace; two sons Larry (Joanne) - Ottawa, and Cameron - Vancouver; two grandchildren Rhiannon and Celyn - Ottawa; sister Mabel McTavish and sister-in-law Pearl Miller - both of Moose Jaw; and many nieces and nephews. Gil was a kind and gentle man and he will be greatly missed. The Service of Remembrance will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1010 Main St.N., on Saturday November 29, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Barry Gammie will officiate. Interment has taken place at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
