MACDONALD, GERTRUDE GERALDINE (MACLAGGAN) Gertrude Geraldine (MacLaggan) MacDonald, of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, wife of the late Arthur MacDonald, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB. Born on July 9, 1918 in Nashwaak Bridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Annie (MacDonald) MacLaggan. She was a member of South Portage Baptist Bible Church. Gertrude always enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Geraldine (Spurgeon) Robbins of Summerside, PE; sons, William (Elizabeth) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, Douglas (Barb) MacDonald of Stanley, NB; and son-in-law, Charles Crain of Bath, NB; grandchildren, Kirk and Christopher MacDonald, Jolene (Chris) Willis, Jocelyn (Justin) DesRoches, Stephen Robbins, Tony and Melvin Crain, Dawn (Leonard) Robertson; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Rolfe and William (Gracie) MacLaggan both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Gertrude was predeceased by her daughter, Ardith Crain; sisters, Ruby Fullarton, Gracie Manzer; brothers, MacDonald, Lloyd and Freddie MacLaggan; half-brothers, George and Lyle MacLaggan. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 11 am until time of Funeral Service that will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 2 pm with Rev. Matthew Little officiating and Pastor Pat McAloon assisting. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery at a later date.
