MAHONEY, JOSEPH LEO The passing of Joseph Leo Mahoney of "Evergreen Park" Richibucto Road, NB, husband of M. Pauline (Lawson) Mahoney occurred on January 2, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 30, 1930 in Gagetown, NB, he was the son of the late Leo and Cora (Kelly) Mahoney. He was a retired equipment operator for the Province of New Brunswick. Joseph was an avid firearms enthusiast and a member of Lake George Gun Club. Enjoyed time spent at Mick Mack Trailor Park. He was also a member of the Elm Tree Square Dancing Club. Besides his wife, Joseph is survived by several cousins. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB, on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Marysville, NB on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11 am. Father Maurice Swift celebrant. Interment will be held in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery at a late date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
