Francis Wilfred, P. Eng., N.L.S.. Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at Masonic Park on June 21, 2008. Leaving his loving wife Sarah Barbara Christine (Horwood) of 42 years; two proud sons, Francis Gordon (Jennifer Murrin) of Chelsea, Que. and Colin Douglas (Caroline Andrews) of Ottawa, Ont.; three beautiful grandchildren, Shannon Sarah, Joshua Kieran of Chelsea, Que. and Alexandra Isabella Victoria of Ottawa, Ont. The oldest son of five children: Rev. Margaret Hall of St. John's, Gertrude "Midge" (Bob Hart) of St. John's, Robert "Bob" (Patricia Whalen) of Edmonton, Alta. and Joan (Howard Harnumn) of St. John's. Frank was born on October 6th, 1942 to Francis Gordon and Gertrude Merriam Hall of St. John's. A retired survey engineering instructor from the College of the North Atlantic, former President of the Association of Newfoundland Land Surveyors and Registered Professional Engineer in both Newfoundland and Ontario. Frank was a respected and accomplished Teacher and Engineer. Frank's passion, sense of humour and love for Newfoundland will be missed by family and friends alike. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday, June 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Anglican Cathedral, Church Hill, St. John's. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation graciously accepted in lieu of flowers. "You are loved. You are at peace and your family is fine." NORRIS, Evelyn (nee Andrews) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Evelyn Norris on Sunday, June 22, 2008, aged 79 years. Predeceased by her father Charles Andrews; mother Alice Andrews (nee Mills); husband Naaman Norris, partner Stanislaus Kelly; her two sons: Warren and Adrian and sisters: Ella, Marion and Ruth. Leaving with fond and loving memories are her three daughters: Beryl Drover, Lorna Kavanagh (Joe) and Della Whittle (Dave); two sons: Kenneth and Les (Mary Brown); eight grandchildren: Shannon, Albert, Jeff, Lesley Ann, Jeremy, Brad, Adam and Chelsea; two great-granddaughters: Keelyn and Karma; life-long friends: Helen Fogwill-Porter and Vicki Headon; home-care workers: Joan French, Georgina Richards and Maxine Morrison; her friends at Thomas Estates as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-1, 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from Salvation Army St. John's West Corp, Mundy Pond Rd. on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Rd.
