JOHN RUTTER

RUTTER, JOHN, ANDREW MALCOLM, BSc Eng, Alle, PMP It is with great sadness the Rutter family announces the unexpected and sudden death of John Andrew Malcolm Rutter of Fredericton, NB, which occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008. Born in Redruth Cornwall, England he was the son of the late Thomas Charles and Bessie (Syms) Rutter and the husband of Anne Shirley (Rix) Rutter. John was a King's Scout, which was presented by King George VI. He was British Schoolboy and British Army Boxing Champion. He attended the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and was commissioned in the Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry. John acquired degrees in Engineering and Business in England. His early career was spent with Unilever prior to bringing his family to Canada in 1966. John had an unsurpassed career including a Fellowship with the NRC, the government of New Brunswick and with the worlds foremost international aid agencies. John was awarded his 40 year commendation from the United Nations in New York with a career that spanned 27Countries. John founded Accesstec Inc in 1997 where he led his sons and a brilliant young team to create a New Brunswick based organization that delivered the worlds first fully deployed National Electronic Health Record. John was a passionate skier, soccer player, husband, father, and grandfather " Poppy". We will miss you Poppy Survived by his wife, Anne; three sons, Simon John Rutter of Fredericton, NB, John Nicholas (Deanne Simms) of Fredericton and Tristan Ian Robert (Sharon Stanford- Rutter) of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Keely Anne, Gabrielle Jane and Tristan Benjamin Ayshford; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, one brother, Stephen Rudder and one sister, Kathleen Lerry There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held at the Christ Church Cathedral on Monday, January 14th, 2008 at 2:00 pm. The Very Rev. Keith Joyce will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Christ Church Cathedral Restoration Fund. McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. www.mcadamsfh.com
