MATCHETT, CARL EDWARD Mr. Carl Edward Matchett of Manzer Street, Fredericton, formerly of Miramichi, passed away Saturday January 12, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 63. Born in Newcastle NB, he was the son of the late Lorne & Helen (Thomson) Matchett. He was a taxi driver and a member of the United Church. He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Babineau (Andre) of Fredericton; one son, Brenden Matchett (Wendy) of Truro NS; three sisters, Evelyn Mann of Ontario, Merilyn Williams (Robert) of Miramichi, Barbara Waye of Miramichi; one brother, Ronald Matchett (Norma) of Miramichi; two grandchildren, Christian Babineau and Brady Matchett. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Dr. Beverly Matchett, and John K. (Jack) Matchett; one sister, Arlene (McKinley) Mackenzie. Mr. Carl Edward Matchett will be resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, with visitation on Monday evening from 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2pm from Davidson's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Burial will be in Miramichi Cemetery in the spring.
