Elsie Jane (Johnson) Sampson passed away peacefully on December 8, 2008 in Moose Jaw at the age of 90 years. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gladys, granddaughter, Judi; grandsons: Paul (Regina), Albert (Cathy) and Ronald; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Rochelle, Tara, Clinton, April and Kim, Sarah and Joshua, Roy, Damien and Nikki as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends, and her love for the girls who cared and spent time with her at Extendicare. She was predeceased by her husband, Melford, son, Maurice, daughter LaVerna and first husband Russel; stepsons: Leroy and Donald, granddaughter, Jo-Anne. Her mother, Sophie, father, Nils Emmanuel; brothers: Clarence and Karl. She was born in Moose Jaw, attended school at Camalachie and resided here until her passing. She loved spending time with her family and friends, loved to dance, go out for supper, and a really good discussion on politics. We all loved her for many different reasons and will miss her always. The Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. Private family interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In loving memory of Elsie, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
