STEVENS, BRIAN DOUGLAS Born August 7, 1948 to February 3, 2008, at the age of 59, passed away at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Brian is survived by his wife, K Deborah (MacPherson) Stevens; daughter, Dawn J (Stevens) Holman; and son-in-law, Eric G.S. Holman; all residing in Fredericton. Brian is also survived by many extended loving family members and supportive friends. Brian was preceded by his parents, Doreen and Wendell Stevens, Grand Bay; as well as aunts, uncles, and grandparents on both sides of our families. Growing up Brian enjoyed playing softball and hockey in and around the Grand Bay area. Brian continued his active lifestyle playing hockey and softball, as well as a love for salmon fishing on the Miramichi and in Newfoundland and Labrador. After high school Brian was employed by NBTel; and over the past 30 years was owner/businessman of several companies: Airtel; Atlantic; Bruncom Communications and Midland Canada. His companies operated in the retail and wholesale sectors, with two-way radio communications, small business telephone services and audio equipment applications. Brian was affiliated with many local and Canadian Organizations which included The Fredericton Golf Club, the Miramichi Salmon Association and the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce. He was also a very proud and active member of the Fredericton North Rotary Club. Donations can be made to any of these organizations in Brian's memory. No visitations will be held. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 11:00am with the Dean Keith Joyce officiating. Internment will occur at a later date.
