FRANCES MARGARET ADELINE (NEE JUKES) BRENNAN

BRENNAN, FRANCES MARGARET ADELINE (NEE JUKES) Frances Margaret Adeline Brennan passed away in the early morning on Sunday February 10, 2008 at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction after a lengthy battle with Diabetes and Heart Disease. Born in 1927 in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Margaret was the daughter of the late Leonard and Nancy (Mills) Jukes, she spent much of her childhood in Traceyville, NB. She met and married James (Jim) Brennan in 1947 in Saint John, NB. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother who spent her life lovingly caring for her family. Margaret worked for many years at the Victoria Public Hospital and later at the Doctor Everett Chamlers Hospital as a Ward Aide and at her retirement she worked in the laundry of the old Veteran's Health Centre on the Woodstock Road. Margaret is survived by her sons, James, Lawrence and Douglas all of Fredericton; as well as three daughters, Margaret (Edwin) Wall, Grace (Jerry) Ayles, and Dianna (Tom) Shannon; four grandchildren, Melissa Ayles, Michael (Susan) Wall, Patrick (Marice) Wall, Dana (Tally) Wall; and five great grandsons, Liam, Noah, Evan, Charlie and Keegan Wall. She will be sadly missed by her brother, Horace Jukes; sister-in-laws, Lydia and Betty; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, James "Jim" Brennan in 1990; as well as her only sister, Mary Todd; and three brothers, Alfred, Clifford, Leonard (Ned) Jukes. The family will receive visitors at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, NB on Monday, February 11th, 2008 from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will take place at the JA McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 12th, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. H.G. MacKenzie officiating. A reception will take place immediately following the service in the adjoining room. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Field of Honor at a later date. For those who wish and in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. www.mcadamsfh.com
