DOROTHY ALBERTA (ANDERSON) CHASE

CHASE, DOROTHY ALBERTA (ANDERSON) The passing of Dorothy Alberta (Anderson) Chase, wife of the late Lorne Chase, occurred on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on August 25, 1914 in Hurlett Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Addavilla (Delong) Anderson. Dorothy was a teacher for 26 years in the Minto and Clarks Corner area. She was a member of the Scotchtown United Church, the Church Choir, the UCW, the Central Branch Retired Teachers Association and the Four Lakes Senior Citizens Club. Dorothy enjoyed oil painting. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (John) DeLucry of Fredericton; granddaughter, Luanne (Ivan) Davidson of Woodland; two great granddaughters, Stephanie (Shawn) and Tanya Davidson; sister, Marion Lean of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Helen Kierstead. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Scotchtown United Church on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Ruth Stuart officiating. Pallbearers for the service are Ernest Lean, Austin Chase, Ivan Davidson, Eric Chase, Neil Emberley and Russell Emberley. Interment will take place in Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Scotchtown United Church, York Manor Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
