CHESSIE, WALTER D. The passing of Walter David Chessie occurred at the Veteran's Health Unit, Fredericton, NB on Friday, February 22nd, 2008. He was 77. Born July 22, 1930 at Yoho, NB, he was a son of the late James D. and Lillian (McLaughlin) Chessie. A veteran of WWII, he served overseas during the Korean War. He was retired from the B.C. Railway where he was employed as a Security Officer. Walter is survived by a son Vaughn Chessie of Shediac, NB; and daughters Lois Pelkey (Michael) of Hanwell and Joanne McGraw of London, ON; grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. A son Brian predeceased him in 1985. No visitation. A private service of remembrance will be held. Bishop's Funeral Home (458-1885) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
