WALKER, MARY ETHEL The passing of Mary Ethel Walker; wife of Ross Maxwell Walker, of Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB, occurred on March 4, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 28, 1936 in Galt, ON, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Mary Bakonyi. Mary was a member of the United Church of Canada. She enjoyed square and round dancing, gardening, knitting and reading. She was a member of the Capital City Rounders. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children; Lynn Walker (Diane Roth) of Courtenay, BC, Laura Young (Travis) of Courtenay, BC, Karen Booker (Randy) of Fergus, ON, Kelly Walker (Kim) of Douglas, NB., and Jessie McFadyen (John) of Harvey, NB; five grand children, Danny Booker, Jody Booker, Jesse Booker, Geoff Walker and MacKenzie Walker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two step-brothers, Steve and Joe Deres; granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Walker. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Chapel on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2 pm. Reception to follow at the home of Kelly and Kim Walker, 20 Kathleen Crescent, Douglas, NB, after 3:30 pm, all welcome. Interment will take place in Harvey Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
