Helen Jean Wenman went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2008 at the age of 75 years. Helen was born to Roy and Laura Knight in Spalding, Saskatchewan on February 19, 1933. She received her education at Westmount Public School and Technical High School. She met and married George Wenman and the couple raised two sons, Roy and Don. Helen was a long time employee at Kresges Department Store. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Helen belonged to several community groups, Grandmothers Club, as well as a big supporter at East End Revival Ministries where she attended church. Predeceased by her husband, George December 10, 2005, her parents, Roy and Laura Knight and one brother, Don Knight, Helen is survived by her loving children: Roy (Evelyn) Wenman, Don Wenman; grandchildren: David (Melissa) Lawrence, Steven (April) Lawrence, her only sister, Marlene Rousell; brothers: Mervin Knight and Gerald (Eleanor) Knight, sister-in-law, Lyla Knight and brother-in-law, Bob Wenman, as well as many other relatives. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 2p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Pastor Cecil Glover will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2 or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
