FERRIS, FRANCIS HUESTIS The death of Francis Huestis Ferris of New Zion, NB occurred Saturday, March 08, 2008 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Jemseg, NB, he was the son of the late Judson and Ava (Huestis) Ferris. Francis was a veteran of WWII. A decorated marksman, he saw action over seas, Liberation of Holland, The Battle of the Bulge, occupation of Germany, he was stationed in Ripples Interment Camp. He was employed with NB Coal for over 45 plus years. Survived by sons, David of Minto, NB, Paul (Delores) of Saint John, NB, Kevin of Moncton, NB and Norman of Fredericton, NB; seven grandchildren, Donnie, Nicholas, Heather, Robert, Sheryl, Charlene, Murray; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eileen Ferris of Jemseg, NB; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Francis was predeceased by his wife, Vivian (Fulton) Ferris, July 2007; a son, Robert Ferris; daughter-in-law, Barb Ferris; brothers, Irving, Ernest; sister, Azalea. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home 327-3490 with visiting today from 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 from Trinity United Church with Rev. Nancy Ritchie officiating. Interment will take place in the Wallbridge Cemetery at a later date.
