ALLEN, THEODORE LEWIS The passing of Theodore Lewis Allen, of Penniac, N.B, occurred on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 12, 1919, in Penniac, N.B, Theodore was the son of the late Ernest and Nellie (King) Allen. Theodore enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a true Toronto Maple Leafs Fan. Theodore is survived by one son; Richard Allen (Margaret) of Fredericton; one daughter, Leigh Painter (Greg) of Rusagonis, N.B; one brother, Ernest Allen of Fredericton; four grandchildren, Bill Hill, Wendy Hill Carter, Katherine Szo, Rick Allen; eight great-grandchildren, Corey, Drew, Robynne, Tyler, Jonathan, Jackson, Delaney, Leah; one great-great-grandchild, Noah; several nieces and nephews and his care giver and special friend, Karen Hazlett. Besides his parents, Theodore was predeceased by four brothers, Bryden, Wendell, Oscar, Arthur Allen; and three sisters, Gertie Stafford, Pearl Hanson and Eleanor Allen. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held from York Funeral Home's T Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11 am with Rev. Lona Johnston officiating. Interment will take place in the Penniac United Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
