MARY ALICE O'LEARY
O'LEARY, MARY ALICE The death of Mary Alice O'Leary, formerly of Norfolk Drive, Fredericton, occurred on March 22, 2008, in her 96th year. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Hazen; parents, Rankin and Georgia McKay; sister, Jennie Parker; and brothers, Otis and Bill. She is survived by four daughters, Marina (Richard Evans) of Waterville, Quebec, Carol (Eric Scott) of Miramichi, Sue (Bob Scott) of Kerrs Ridge, and Alice (Gary Flinn) of Fredericton; and brother-in-law, Phillip O'Leary. She will always be loved by grandchildren, Angela, Jennifer, Tom, Tim and Richard Evans, Shelly VanBuskirk, Cindy Sivitilli, Rod and Peter Scott, Benjamin, Nathaniel and Shane Scott, David and Michael Flinn; several nieces and nephews. Mary was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her life. She was also "Great Mum" or Nanny to 20 great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Margaret's Anglican Church, and a life member of the Lincoln Women's Institute. In earlier years, she operated the cafeteria at the Agricultural Research Station and worked in food services at the former Victoria Public Hospital. Visitation will be at McAdams Select Community Funeral Home (www.mcadamsfh.com), 160 York Street from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26th. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Margaret's Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Road at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 27th, 2008. Canon Jon Lownds will officiate. A reception at the church will follow the service. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
