Josephine Lauer September 30th, 1917-December 26, 2008 Lauer, Josephine (Josie) passed away peacefully at Providence Place on December 26, 2008 at the age of 91. Josie was born September 30th, 1917 in Swanson, Saskatchewan. In 1937 she married Arthur Lauer where they lived on a small farm southeast of Secretan until moving to Moose Jaw in 1957. Josie will be lovingly remembered by her six children, Conrad (Bernice) Lauer, Janet Fry, Harvey (Celine) Lauer, Clifford (Diane) Lauer, Daniel (Susan) Lauer, Judi (Dale) Zahara, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents and siblings, her husband Arthur Lauer, grandaughter Andrea Zahara and son-in-law Jim Fry. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Larry Hasmatali will officiate. An interment will take place at the family plot in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place Tuesday evening (Dec. 30); 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The family wish to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Providence Place for their compassionate care. Memorial donations may be made to Providence Place or to the Alzheimer's Society.
