Esther Susan Bayne (nee Barwell) passed away peacefully on December 28, 2008 at the age of 89 years. Esther was born March 17, 1919. Her family farmed in the Leamington area east of Moose Jaw were she attended school along with her brothers and sister. Esther married Ivan Bayne in 1942 and they farmed in the Tuxford area for forty-five years before moving into Moose Jaw in 1987. In Moose Jaw Esther was actively involved in the Union Hospital Auxiliary and Minto United Church. Predeceased by her parents, Coan and Aggie Gee Barwell; brothers: Leslie, Clarence and Keith, sister, Pauline and infant sisters, Margaret and Enid, Esther will lovingly be remembered by her son, Gerald (Lynne); grandsons: Erin (Heather) and Ryan (Robin); great-granddaughters: Hannah, Lauren and Emma, sister-in-law, Blanche Barwell, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Following interment at the Moose Jaw Cemetery, A Celebration of Esther's Life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Memorial donations to Plan Canada, World Vision, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
