THERESA DOREEN O'HARA-DUPLESSIS
O'HARA-DUPLESSIS, THERESA DOREEN (1953 - 2008) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Doreen (Freezie) O'Hara-Duplessis, wife of Theodore (Ted) Duplessis. Her death occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton on March 29, 2008 at the age of 54, after a ten year battle with cancer. Born in Middleton, NS on September 9, 1953, she was the daughter of the late John (Jack) and Irene O'Hara. After graduating from high school, Theresa worked, for a short time, at Zellers in Chatham, NB. She then attended Fanshaw College in London, ON. Following a short stint at Fanshaw, she worked as a counselor in Chatham. Theresa then attended University and obtained a teaching degree. She taught for a short time in Fredericton. At the time of her death, she was working at the UNB Book Store. Theresa is survived by her two children: Amber Gill (Jordan Grossman) of Windsor, ON and Tyler Gill of Calgary, AB; two step-daughters: Jody Lanteigne of Fredericton, NB and Jennifer Corbett (Rob) of Fredericton, NB ; three brothers: Michael (Jackie) O'Hara of Ajax, ON, Paul O'Hara of Miramichi, NB and Shaun O'Hara of Thornhill, ON; four sisters: Maureen (Ed) Vigneau of Halifax, NS, Sharon (Don) MacDonald of Fredericton, NB, Barbara (David) Parker of Riverview, NB and Marilyn (Michael) McCoombs of Miramichi, NB; a brother-in-law, Roy Campbell of London, ON; six special grandchildren: Holly, Hanna and Hailey Lanteigne; Garrett, Brady and Katelyn Corbett; 23 nieces and nephews, 23 grandnieces and grandnephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Campbell and a grandnephew, Cai LeBlanc. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31st at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Lincoln, NB on Tuesday, April 1st at 11:00am with Father Jack Dolan officiating. Internment will be at a later date.
