INCH, ALEXANDER SAMUEL The death of Alexander Samuel Inch of Fredericton, NB occurred unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 31st, 2008. Born in New Jerusalem, NB, on November 27, 1925, he was the son of the late James and Minnie (Vallis) Inch and the husband of Ruth (Kelly ) Inch. Dad was an avid baseball & hockey fan. With him it was Boston teams all the way. We would discuss baseball stats and how the Red Sox were doing almost every day during "the season". I'll miss that. Dad worked for Health & Welfare Canada for 36 years before retiring in 1985. Survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Janice Inch of Fredericton; one son, Sam Inch (Sherry St.Onge) of Miramichi; one special granddaughter, Cassandra; first cousins, Rhoda Inch of Cambridge Narrows, Eric Inch of Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents, one brother, Murray Inch; two cousins, Enid Inch and Spencer Inch. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Fredericton on Friday, April 4th, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Robert Johnson and Rev. Paul Ross officiating. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. At the request of the family for health reasons please no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society.
