COLFORD, JANET SUSAN The passing occurred peacefully surrounded by her family of Janet Susan Colford, wife of the late Ambrose Colford, of Blissfield, NB, occurred on April 2, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 17, 1915, in Howard's, NB, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Gladys (Vickers) Brennan. Janet was a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, Doaktown, NB. She was a life member of the CWL and an avid bingo player. Janet is survived by three daughters, Margaret Hersey (Frank) of Nashwaak Village, Gladys Washburn of Renous, Mary McAloon - Jones (Alden) of Nashwaak Village; five sons, Jim Sutherland (Joan) of Blissfield, Ben Sutherland (Leona) of Blissfield, Paul Sutherland (Mary) of Fredericton, Peter Sutherland (Pat) of Durham Bridge, Gene Colford (Elaine) of Doaktown; 26 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Mary Brennan of Fredericton, Florence Brennan of Blissfield; four brothers, Roy Brennan of Sussex, Murray Brennan of Edmonton, AB, Tom Brennan (Lillian) of Blackville and Ed Brennan (Diane) of Blissfield and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, George Sutherland; son, Sherman Colford; sisters, Dorothy Brennan, Vida Brennan and Mary Driscoll; brothers, Joe, George and Dan Brennan; grandson, Craig Colford. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from Our Lady of the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church at 11 am with Father Bonaventure Annan officiating. Interment will take place at the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery, Blissfield, NB at a later date.
