DOHERTY, ROBERT GEORGE (BOB) The passing of Robert George (Bob) Doherty of Penniac, husband of Geraldine (Graham) Doherty, occurred on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 9, 1931 in Penniac, he was the son of the late Robert and Goldie (Collings) Doherty. He retired from the parts department of Tractor and Equipment. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid reader. Besides his wife, Geraldine, Bob is survived by his sons, Kevin (Rose) Wright and Duane (Judy) Wright both of Fredericton; grandchildren, Tammy, Adam and Terry; brother, Randy (Karen) Doherty of Penniac; niece, Khrista (Andrew) and their children, Drake and Bailee; nephew, Scott (Jennifer) and their children, Kyla and Paige. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Noreen. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. David DuBois officiating. Reception to follow in fireside room. Honourary Pallbearers for the service are Jack McKinley, Millet Lyons, Kenneth Chase, Art Stafford, Wayne and Charlie Love. Interment will take place in Marysville Baptist Cemetery Extension at a later date.
