Gordon Andrew (Andy) McNamee DFC,CD, NATO Bar of Moose Jaw took off from the runway of life for the last time on December 26, 2008. Andy was born January 4, 1923 on a farm near Tugaske and moved to Moose Jaw in 1929. He was predeceased by brother, Lew in June 2007 and by the love of his life, "Bud" (Hill) in March, 2002. He married Bud on February 16, 1946. She followed him, with nary a complaint, through 16 countries of this old world as he pursued his Air Force life. He is survived by two nieces: Ronnie (Sandy) Sanford and her family in Ottawa, and Terry (Rob) McDougall and her family in Lumsden. Also surviving are brothers-in-law: Percy (Marilyn) Hill, Howard (Mary) Hill, Al (Lorraine) Hill and Bub (Myrna) Hill. At Andy's insistence, there will be cremation and no funeral service. "I arrived on this planet with little fanfare and I intend to leave with less" was the annotation on his Departure Flight Plan. In lieu of flowers or the like, Andy suggested a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2. In living memory of Andy, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
