BELL, LLOYD JAMES The family of Lloyd James Bell is deeply saddened by his passing on Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born April 30th, 1923 in the Tay Valley, and the son of the late Roy and Alexina (Abernethy) Bell. The love of his life was living and working as a woodsman, and took great pride in preserving "The Tay Valley". He was wounded in action while serving his country in WWII with the Carleton - York Regiment, and was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #80. Lloyd is survived by son, Donald Stewart (Kim); grandson, Joey and granddaughter, Nicole of Taymouth; daughter, Theresa Veniot (Peter) of Grand Bay-Westfield; sisters, Katheryn Peterson, and Mary Dodds of Fredericton; nieces, Susan Dodds, Ellen Boone (Doug) of Fredericton, Gail Bongard (Mitch) of Nasonworth, along with great nephew, Nicholas Bongard; great nieces, Krista Boone, Katie Boone and Julie Bongard; several cousins and close friends. Lloyd was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Geraldine and infant sister, Gertrude Ethyl Bell. There will be no visitation by family request. A graveside service will be held at the Taymouth Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
