ELLIOTT, DOUGLAS "DOUG" EUGENE The passing of Doug Elliott occurred on Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 at his residence in Geary, NB. Born in Leicester, NS, Doug was a loving husband to Mavis (Grass) Elliott and was a son to the late Frederick and Gladys (Hicks) Elliott. Surviving Doug is his wife, Mavis of Geary, NB; his sons, Rick (Ann) Elliott of Wirral, NB, Tim (Stephanie) Elliott of Geary, NB, Gary (Amy) Elliott of Elmira, ON and Doug (Carol) Elliott of Geary, NB; brothers, Ronald Elliott, Robert (Diana) Elliott and sister, Shirley (Tom) Caldwell. Doug is also survived by eight grandchildren, Amanda, Jennifer, Ashley, Nathlie, Evan, Kevin, Brandon and Ryan along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug was a crackfiller and painter for over 50 years, enjoying his profession for the majority of his life. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and hockey, always supporting the Montreal Canadians and was also a chartered member of the Geary Lions Club. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 19th, 2008 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating. Interment will take place in the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Memorial Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
