THOMPSON, STEPHEN EDWARD The death of Stephen Edward Thompson of Minto occurred Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Minto, he was the son of the late Isaac and Ida (Flowers) Thompson. Surviving are his 2 nieces, Brenda (Wilson) Burnham and Kim (Franco) Canonico both in Ontario; his long time friend, Elaine Stack and her children, Charlene Stack (Richard) and Doris Sinnett (Eric) and their children, Justin, Chantel, Stormie, Julien and Nicholas; many good friends including his close friend, Dave Betts (Doreen). In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Earl. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) where the family will receive visitors on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and from where funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 18th, 2008 in the Parker Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Kris Austin officiating. Interment will take place in the Newcastle Creek Cemetery Extension at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
