DOROTHY MARIE FENZL

FENZL, DOROTHY MARIE With great sadness, the family would like to announce the passing of Dorothy M. Fenzl, age 83, on April 15, 2008 at the Mountainside Lodge, Silverwood, NB. Born in Toronto, Ontario she was a daughter of the late Daisy and Harold (Govier) Palmer. Dorothy was a Wireless Operator in the R.C.A.F. during WWII; she studied dress design and always enjoyed sewing and knitting her own clothing, she worked for many years as an executive secretary; completed courses in Psychology at the University of Toronto; received a Diploma in Journalism hence leading her to write a number of books for children, which she enjoyed doing immensely. A very avid reader of politics, philosophy and psychology; loved to dance to Big Band music. Her greatest love was for that of her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Susan Fenzl (Rod) of Hanwell, NB; son, Greg Fenzl (Lindy) of Toronto, Ont; two grandchildren, Angela and Christopher Arisz of Hanwell, NB; nieces, Marilyn Brimblecombe and Helen Gibb. Predeceased by brothers, Sidney and Les Palmer; sister, Hilda Brimblecombe. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place, and a service will be held in Toronto, Ontario at a later date.
