JEWETT, GEORGIA GARRITY Georgia Garrity Jewett, 88, of Kentville, NS, was promoted to glory Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Dykeland Lodge in Windsor, NS. Georgia, born in Jones Forks, NB on May 27, 1919, was the wife of the late Rev. Kenneth G. Jewett and daughter of the late George Griffiths and Edna (White), (Lawrence), (Griffiths) Dunphy. She was a member of the New Hope Wesleyan Church in Kentville, NS. She is survived by her daughters, Lilyan Whittey (Fred) of Kentville, NS, Patricia Durling (Marven) of Roblin, ON, Ruby Bain (Charles) of Grand Manan, NB, Vera Marie Jewett of Moncton, NB; and one son, David (Margaret) of Fredericton, NB; four brothers, Philemon Lawrence (Florence) of Burtt's Corner, NB, Eldon Dunphy (Geraldine) of Fredericton, NB, Murray Dunphy (Marlene) of Nanaimo, BC, and Lorne Dunphy (Jean) of Cobble Hill, BC; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-children, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Georgia is predeceased by one son, Gary; one grandchild, Katherine Whittey; sister, Irene Brewer; brothers, Victor and Lauriston Lawrence; step-father, Leigh Dunphy; step-sister, Dorothy Williams; step-brother, James Dunphy. Visiting hours will be held at the Mouth of Keswick United Baptist Church on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Scott Prime officiating. Interment will be in the Keswick Cemetery.
