STYMIEST, ISABELLA The death of Mrs. Isabella (Ella) (Leightley) Stymiest of Tabusintac, NB, occurred unexpectedly on April 27, 2008 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, with her loving family at her side. Born in Shankhouse, England, July 20, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Pouton) Leightley. She was a member of Saint Andrew's United Church, Tabusintac, former member of the church choir, UCW, and the craft group. Sunday visits to the Tabusintac Nursing Home was something she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas with the A.T.S. She is survived by two daughters, Berylann Campbell (Shirley) of Bangor, Maine, Greta M. Sloat (Marvin) of Lincoln, NB; five sons, James Earl (Nancy) of Tabusintac, Lorne (Twila) of Westlock, Alberta, Terrance (Marcia) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Dennis (Mary) of Priceville, NB, Barry (Louise) of Drayton Valley, Alberta; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Earl; one son, Robert; and four sisters, Florence Thompson, Nancy Ellis, Margaret Nivens, and Greta Leightley. Mrs. Isabella Stymiest will be resting at Saint Andrew's United Church, Tabusintac, with visitation on Tuesday April 29 from 7 to 9, from where the funeral service will be held Wednesday April 30, 2008, at 2 p.m., with Dean Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac. At the request of the family, donations to Saint Andrew's United Church in memory of Ella Stymiest. Members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #47 are asked to assemble at the church for a memorial service at 6:45. Arrangements in care of Davidson's Funeral Home (622-7464).
