KROON, WILLEMINA EMMA The passing of Willemina Emma Kroon of Fredericton, NB, wife of Peter Kroon, occurred on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 3, 1929 in Holland, she was the daughter of the late Dirk and Marie (Jansen) Boekee. Willemina was a member of the Christian Reformed Church and a former choir director, member of the choir and Sunday School Teacher. In her younger years she was an avid gardener. In addition to her husband, Willemina is survived by her daughters, Ellen Daigle (Danny), Coleen Hopey (David) both of Fredericton, NB; sons, Jon Kroon (Sherry) of Hartland, NB, Jeffery Kroon (Krista Knight) of Saint John, NB, Wilt Kroon (Lori) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Nicholas, Devon, Colton, Andrew and Ethan; step grandchildren, Kate and Ryan; brother, Ewoud Boekee (Cobie); sisters, Maria Sluiter, Sonja Boekee; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Willemina was predeceased by her brothers, Dick and George Boekee. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 11 am with Canon John Cathcart officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery.
