PALMER, CLARETTA MARGARET "CLARA" (CLOWATER) The passing of Claretta Margaret "Clara" (Clowater) Palmer of Boiestown, NB, wife of Claude Palmer, occurred on Friday, May 02, 2008 at home. Born on February 1, 1923 in Ludlow, NB, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Ella May (Smith) Clowater. She was a member of Boiestown United Church, taught CGIT and was a woman of faith her whole life. Clara loved to sew, cook and quilt. In addition to her husband, Clara is survived by her daughter, Rev. Claudia Kitson (Fred) of Argyle Shore, PE; son, Paul Palmer (Celeste) of Boiestown, NB; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn O'Donnell (Russell) of Ludlow, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Clara was predeceased by sisters, Stella Palmer, Alma Hunter, Faye Palmer and Leona Clowater; brothers, Darold, Ernest, Everett, LeRoy, Eldon, William and Bennett Clowater. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 4 pm with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating. Interment will take place in Astle Community Cemetery at a later date.
