WILLIAM "BILL" THOMAS ESTEY

ESTEY, WILLIAM "BILL" THOMAS The passing of William "Bill" Estey of Burton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the age of 83. Born in Carroll's Crossing NB, he was a son of the late Blanchard and Sarah (Brown) Estey. Bill served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy, served as an Engineer in the Korea War. Bill spent time working at Big Duck Island Lighthouse. A carpenter by trade, he also was a Fire Fighter with C.F.B. Gagetown as well as sang with the Fredericton Barbershopper's. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years Beverley; 3 children Robin (Jill) of Salisbury,NB, Erica of Ontario, Geoffrey of Brown's Flat, NB; 2 stepchildren Sandra "Sandy" Hussey (Verdon) of Colbourg, Ont., Dwight Bryant Murray (Ginette) of Oromocto; 6 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; special great grandchild Samantha "Sam"; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Rd. from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held Friday May 16, 2008 from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev. Reg Miller officiating. A legion tribute by branch #93 will be held during the funeral service. Interment will be in the Red Bank Cemetery, Chipman NB.
