SIMON VAN DOORSELAERE
VAN DOORSELAERE, SIMON The passing of Simon Charles Van Doorselaere of Minto, NB, occurred Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 at his home. Born in Minto, NB, October 6th, 1920, he was the son of the late Charles and Zelia (Hersin) Van Doorselaere. Simon was a veteran of WWII. Survived by his wife, Kathleen (Blackier); a special companion of many years, Betty Palmer; a son, Carl Van Doorselaere (Lori); daughters, Caroline Albert (Julien), Ruth Caissie (John) and Ann Marie Belliveau (John) all of Minto, NB; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Marguerite (Maggie) and Mary; brothers, Stanley, Frank, Louie and Amile; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Simon was predeceased by a son, Allan; several brothers and sisters. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) with visiting hours on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am, Friday, May 16th, 2008 from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the St. Bridgit's Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations made to the Minto Seniors Citizen's Hall would be appreciated by the family.
