SCOTT, ANNIE MATILDA Annie (Anne) Matilda Gradley Scott, born in London, England,11th August, 1923. Anne was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Alvin Milton Scott; both parents, Emma Elinor Costin Gradley and Henry George Gradley; one sister, Emma (Pat) Gradley Scott. She served in the British women's service of the A.T.S. for two years. during WWII. She also served for 10 years as a board member of the Upper Miramichi Regional School Library. Anne was also a member of the N.B. War Brides Association and the Fredericton War Brides Club. She is survived by one sister, Alice Elisa May Gradley Beynon; 2 sons, Alvin Milton Scott (Linda), Paul (Joan) Scott and one daughter, Valerie (Keith) Adams. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Chantale (Steve) Hofman, Karen (Dan) Baillie, Kevin (Penny) Scott, Craig and Shawn Adams, Kristina Scott and seven great grandchildren; as well as, several nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Louisette which she held in high esteem. Anne was most proud of the fact that she could say "I am a Canadian since 1943". Special thanks to all the residents of Boiestown and area who welcomed local War Brides with special kindness. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 2 pm with Pastor Robert Hanson officiating.
